| RMI Recognizes Two Anacostia Railroads as 'Fast Track' Award Recipients | ||
|
August 31, 2007 Atlanta, GA - RMI, a provider of information services to the transportation industry, announced yesterday those railroads selected for their 2008 Fast Track Award program. Included in the twelve winners were two Anacostia & Pacific railroads - the New York & Atlantic Railway, and the Pacific Harbor Line. The Fast Track award is designed to recognize those organizations who maximize the value of RMI's services by implementing procedures that result in "more comprehensive automation of manual processes, improved formation capture and reporting, greater accounting control, enhanced asset management or more efficient processes in any capacity." The New York & Atlantic Railway was selected because of its rollout of the RMI ShipperConnect and eBOL products, which have automated billing and provided NYA's customers with the ability to directly order and release railcars within the NYA system. Pacific Harbor Line was selected because it has established electronic interchange reporting with its connecting carriers, allowing outbound movements to "auto-load," and reducing the need to staff their customer service center 24 hours per day, seven days per week. The Fast Track award is available to railroads and shippers. For more information, go to the RMI news and events web page, read their press release [pdf].
