M.J. (Mark) Nuchurch

Mark Nuchurch joined Anacostia Rail Holdings Company in April 2025 as Manager of Safety and Compliance. Mr. Nuchurch has over 29 years of experience in the railroad industry, including various positions in operations, training and safety with CSX. Mr. Nuchurch began his career as a Conductor and Locomotive Engineer before spending 19 years as a manager in different capacities.  He served as a Trainmaster in the Bronx, NY and Chicago, IL.  Mr. Nuchurch served as the program manager for CSX’s Locomotive Engineer Training and Certification program.  Recently, he served as Manager of Safety and Operating Practices for CSX Intermodal Terminals. Mr. Nuchurch credits his ability to adjust to and overcome the everchanging railroad and regulatory environment, we have experienced over the past 20 years, to his time in the military. Mark served in the US Army’s 82^nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He is a combat veteran of Desert Shield/ Desert Storm.  Columbia Southern University (BS & MS)
