R. A. (Rick) Vanzee

Rick VanZee was promoted to Director of Operations at Pacific Harbor Line (PHL) in August 2017. He began his railroad career with PHL in February 1999 as a certified locomotive engineer, having previously worked in train service for smaller railroads in South Dakota and Iowa, and then with the Union Pacific in Los Angeles. Mr. VanZee transitioned into management in 2007, where he has previously held the positions of Assistant Trainmaster, Trainmaster, and Road Foreman of Engines.
